A Light-Hearted Card for the Holiday Season
Yoga Christmas card on Zazzle
Holiday and greeting cards on Zazzle are unique, such as this Yoga Christmas card showing Santa, Mrs. Claus, and a raindeer happily holding some nice-looking poses. Zazzle cards may be a little more expensive than the mass-produced ones you can buy at the supermarket, but you probably won't be able to find such a fine Yoga Christmas card like this at the supermarket!
Inside, "May the spirit of the season move you"
Yoga Magnet for Your Fridge
Namaste with Lotus Magnet on Zazzle
This thoughtful and inexpensive gift is one of the many Yoga magnet designs sold on Zazzle. These magnets can hold up your grocery list or your child's artwork on your refrigerator, and they're pleasing to look at.
The Sanskrit word "Namaste" is often used in yoga classes, either at the beginning or the end of the class, as a salutation. One of the translations is, "I honor the sacredness and equality in us all".
The lotus flower symbolizes being firmly ground in our physical existence, and aspiring toward the divine, much as the lotus is firmly rooted in the mud at the bottom of the lake, but it grows and blossoms in the light.
This magnet is covered with scratch-resistant and UV-resistant mylar.
Om Sterling Silver Yoga Sanskrit Symbol Charm Necklace
According to ancient Vedic scripts, Om is the sound of life. "It is the infinite vibration that shimmers through the Universe, providing life and sustenance to everything. Om is the beginning and will continue till the end; the one constant that unites all of creation at its deepest level." (from Om Village)
It's said to represent self-realization and enlightenment.
A simple and elegant Om symbol pendant of sterling silver will remind you of your quest for your own self-realization.
More Yoga Inspired Jewelry - The Lotus
The lotus is a symbol of spiritual growth, including our growth from our yoga practice. One of the important seated yoga poses is Padmasana, or Lotus Pose.
The bud of the lotus represents our spiritual potential, and the unfolding blossom represents the expansion of our soul and our growth toward spiritual enlightenment. It symbolically represents our being fully grounded in the very necessary physical world while also aspiring towards the divine, much as the lotus is rooted into the muck and mire underwater, but rises through the muddy water and blossoms into a beautiful, pure flower.
Since yoga has strong connections with the Eastern spiritual traditions, the lotus has significance in our yoga practice as well. Lotus Pose, orPadmasana, is a seated posture that is especially recommended for meditation, chanting, and pranayama (breathing exercises).

Yoga Mat Bags and Slings, Yoga Gym Bags
Carrying Straps, Bags, and Totes for Your Yoga Mat
A yoga mat tote bag or yoga gym bag such as this Timbuk2 Flow Gym Yoga Tote to the right (and below), makes a great gift for someone who carries their yoga mat and other gear to yoga class or to the gym.
Mat slings and straps are very economical, and are great for if you just want to keep your mat rolled up and easily carried. A yoga mat bag offers more protection to your mat and comes in many different styles, colors, and price ranges. A yoga gym bag or duffel-type bag has a place to hold your mat as well as other gear that you need for your class or when you go to the gym.

Fun Yoga T-Shirts
Fun Yoga T-Shirts
I enjoy wearing t-shirts with designs that show my interests, including yoga. There are many yoga t-shirt designs on Zazzle that I especially like. On Fun Yoga T-Shirts I show a few of my favorite designs, including "Om", "Namaste", and "Shanti" designs, as well as yoga pose designs.
A favorite of a couple of my yoga students is the "Savasana" design t-shirt. Savasana (or Corpse Pose) is the resting pose we do at the end of each class. Ahhh, it feels good to rest completely at the end of class!
Yoga Poster Gifts
A yoga poster makes a good gift to adorn a yoga practice space, and to inspire the practitioner. This quirky poster below, by Gosia Janik, is one of my favorites.
You can find this poster of Woman in Halasana (Plow Pose) With Cat on AllPosters, along with more of Janik's photographic prints, and more yoga posters and prints by other artists.
